Alcohol, MDMA and Cannabis
In collaboration with the NSW Ministry of Health and the Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance use, working alongside SquareCell, we had the opportunity to create 3 quirky character animations showing the effects of drugs and alcohol on the developing brain.
Focusing on the drugs Alcohol, MDMA and Cannabis.
The inspiration for the Lightbulb characters came from when we think of having a "Light-bulb moment!" - we're inspired to do anything - whether it be responsible or not.
Designing the lightbulbs allowed us to incorporate the "brain wire" where we could illuminate the brain's response to the different drugs in an engaging way. Whether it would flicker, change colours or completely dim - we found it useful in conveying this message.

RESPECT YOUR BRAIN SERIES (2023)
Vaping, Alcohol and Antidepressants
With the success of the first three videos, we were approached by the NSW Ministry of Health again to come up with two more animations this time focussing on the effects of Vaping and mixing Alcohol with Antidepressants with the developing brain.
Picking up from where we left off was a lot smoother process - as we already had our characters rigged, assets ready and could just jump straight into pre-vis.
It was so much fun to create new environments and really work with the camera angles this time!
